We pray...That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge
…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

DAY 20—The ministries appointed by the Lord Jesus work together toward helping us be no longer spiritual children.

The ministries appointed by the Lord Jesus will help us be no more children. This is a marvelous thing. Too many of us have remained immature in our emotions and in our response toward others. The anointing that will come upon us from the Throne of the Lord Jesus will work toward helping us ...grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:15). This means we can come into the spiritual maturity that He desires for us. It will be a maturity that makes us useful not only in the Body of believers, but also in the world. We are coming to know that the maturity and wisdom and understanding born in us by the Spirit of Christ can make us useful in all dimensions of life. When we allow the skill and wisdom worked into our lives by the Lord to be useful in our work with people of the world, it bears testimony to them that Christ is wonderful and caring, even for them. We see an example of this in Daniel.

Daniel 1:17-20—As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

LORD, give us ministers in Your Body who will bring the young people in our midst onward to a spiritual maturity. Teach us who are Pastors and Teachers that we may teach the young ones your principles of Life, that will make them useful for Your Kingdom. And DEAR LORD, help those of us who are older to set right examples before the younger ones. Let them see Your Life and Your Love reflected in us.
